Egypt |
This outfit combines motifs
characteristic to Middle Eastern fashion, Egyptian and Renaissance.
The sleeves are made of heavy
velvet tied at intervals with orange taffeta ribbons to form puffs.
The heavy body of these sleeves is borrowed from Renaissance fashion.
The decorative white bands on the chest are embroidered with Egyptian-like
motifs. The net of orange ribbons that replaces the blouse is inspired
by Middle Eastern fashion. The hat's voluminous shape is essentialy
Egyptian (velvet on hard support featuring a taffeta orange buckle).
